Coaching Sessions

All coaching sessions are designed to be flexible, stimulating, and empowering to meet needs of organizations and individuals alike.

Overview of Session Types

  • Individual Coaching Sessions

Confidential conversation that includes questioning to help the individual achieve their purpose by using their strengths. Each session centers around the specific needs of the individuals, identifying challenges and resulting in action items that can be used to meet them.

  • Team or Group Coaching Sessions

Group workshop that includes interactive presentation, individual and group activities, reflective writing, handouts, and Question & Answer session. Group sessions are a great way to introduce the framework as well as find better ways to work with each other to increase productivity.

  • Mixed Sessions

Beginning with a group session for the entire, team and subsequent individual coaching sessions for each team member. Additional group sessions might be useful, based on the team’s needs.

Coaching Session Philosophy

Coaching is a CAVE:

Confidential. All sessions, whether individual or group, are confidential between the individual and the coach.

Active. The coaching process is behavior-focused and involves dynamic questioning that provide opportunities for reflection.

Value-centered. Sessions focus on identifying and refining team or individual goals that are both aspirational and actionable by using one’s strengths.

Empowering. The coach and client are a team, working to identify ways to influence the client’s behaviors, activities, and relationships to optimize their performance

Coaching is not: therapy, advice, or a simple vent session.

What is Vertical Coaching?

  • Vertical Coaching focuses on growth based on natural talents and skills to provide stability, improve relationships, and strengthen leadership abilities. Coaching sessions are tailored to the individuals needs by forming a genuine connection to cultivate empathy and understanding.

  • Strengths-based coaching helps individuals turn their innate potential into observable actions that improve performance. Coaching sessions help you leverage what you naturally do well, impacting your personal and professional life.

  • It’s a more specific type of career coaching: it extends beyond your career trajectory because it impacts your personal life as well. Your strengths don’t simply cease when you leave the office.

  • Gallup has identified 34 different talent themes in four domains that help individuals understand what they naturally do well — how they think and behave. “Strengths” is the product of investment into your talents.
