Frequently asked questions.

What is Strengths-based coaching?

Strengths-based coaching helps individuals and teams use their CliftonStrengths to influence their behaviors, activities, and relationships to optimize their performance.

What is the role of the coach?

The role of a Coach is different from that of a counselor (who diagnoses what is wrong) or a consultant (who gives advice). Instead, the Coach listens carefully and asks questions to promote self-discovery in individuals looking to take action to move ahead in some area of their life.

What are the outcomes of coaching sessions?

The outcomes are very much dependent on the client and often apply to their personal life as well as professional life. They might include clarifying professional goals, exploring new ways to increase productivity, processing challenges, and developing leadership skills based on strengths.

How many coaching sessions are needed?

Although this is dependent on the individual or organizations needs, three individual coaching sessions allow the individual to better understand what they naturally do well, before narrowing the focusing on specific ways apply their strengths situationally.
